We are now launching a range of integrations that allow you to control your heating in the same app as your other smart home products.
Through Matter, you can now control Mill WiFi Gen 3 panel heaters and Mill Smart WiFi Plug with Amazon Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home.
All Mill WiFi products (except Gen 1) can now also be controlled with Homey.
How to connect your device to Matter
To control Mill WiFi Gen 3 panel heater and Mill Smart WiFi Plug with Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Apple Homekit, you must first activate Matter:
- Download the Mill app and log in.
- Click on “Settings” in the bottom right corner.
- Click “Activate Matter” and select your device from the list.
- Follow the installation guide.
- Once Matter is activated, you will receive a copy of the Matter QR code and Pin code on the email you have registered in the Mill app. You will need this to connect to Matter-compatible devices.
- Open your smart home app (e.g. Google Home, Apple Home, Amazon Alexa) and add the Mill device by pressing the WiFi button on the Mill device and following the steps in the app.
Please note that once Matter is activated, you will no longer be able to connect to Mill Cloud.
Matter, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Apple Homekit only apply to Mill WiFi panel heaters (except Gen 1) and smart plug.
How to connect your device to Homey
- Download the Mill Norway app and log in
- Press the + button in the top right corner and connect your device by following the step-by-step guide.
- Once your device is connected, download the Homey app
- Make sure your Homey hub is installed/configured
- In the Homey app, select “Devices”
- Then press the + button and select “New device”
- Search for “Mill WiFi”
- Select which product you want to control using Homey
- Log in with your Mill Norway app credentials
- Your device will be found and added to Homey
- You can now control your device using Homey
You can control your devices from Homey and the Mill Norway app at the same time.
